Wenatchee High School is committed to providing every student the opportunity to reach his or her highest level of performance. The WHS FOUNDATION supports this commitment by providing financial help for touring debate teams and many other academic excellence programs. The Foundation also encourages members of the Wenatchee community to support academic excellence at WHS by getting involved in activities such as mentoring students in the college application process.
Social Studies teacher Scott Benner talks to his students in a Citizen Washington class. To succeed in this required civics class, students must participate in community service and attend local government meetings.
WHS students take notes at a Debate Tournament at Gonzaga University. Debate offers students the chance to improve their public speaking and writing skills. Students look over the assignment for a group project. WHS students have the opportunity to take Honors and Advanced Placement classes in English, Foreign Languages, History, Social Studies, Math and Science.
